About

I am a Ph.D. student in Applied Mathematics at the Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Prof. Roberto Guglielmi. My primary research area is the stabilization of linear and nonlinear Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) at the  Dynamics, Stability, Control and Optimisation Lab (DySCO Lab) within the Infinite-Dimensional Systems research group. I am also pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Theoretical Neuroscience at the Centre for Theoretical Neuroscience.

Previously, I earned an Integrated Master’s degree (B.S.+M.S.) in Applied Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R). I completed my master’s thesis under the supervision of  Prof. Manil T. Mohan on Boundary Control of a Class of Partial Differential Equations: Well-Posedness, Stabilization and Numerical Studies.

Apart from mathematics, I have interests in the philosophy of mind, science, and consciousness, as well as in Indian philosophical systems, Indology, and Sanskrit knowledge systems. I also work on translating and studying ancient texts and engage in research in bioinformatics, particularly in computer-assisted tomographic examinations related to gallbladder wall thickness, placental thickness, and the stages of necrosis, fibrosis, and metastasis.

Some of my greatest pastimes include composing poetry, chanting Sanskrit hymns, painting, and playing chess.
